Changes/alterations to tours

Midgard Adventure reserves the right to alter the route of itinerary of any of its tours and arrange alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary. No refunds will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of a trip resulting from any cause including severe weather conditions or mechanical failure.

Private & Open tours

The terms between private & open tours are following. Open tours on fixed dates are operated as described on the web page. All our open tours are run with a minimum 3 persons if not specified otherwise in the tour description. Private tours are available any time upon request. We reserve the right not to organise a specific private tour if your request is done on a too short notice (minimum 1 week).

Personal belongings

Passangers are responsible for the safety of their own belongings. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings or baggage.

Forces of nature

Due to natural hazards such as most often bad weather or any other forces of nature Midgard Experience reserves the right to amend the itinerary in these circumstances. Components of our tours are weather dependent and we cannot be held liable if they are not available on the day of travel.

Travel insurance

Safety is of paramount importance to Midgard Experience and we pride ourselves in our attention to detail regarding safety on all our tours and of the knowledge, experience and expertise of our guides and staff members. We do however strongly advise that all passengers have in place their own adequate travel insurance against issues such as illness, injury, loss or damage to personal belongings, and not being able to travel on the confirmed departure date.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation by you

If you wish to cancel your booking you must do so in writing. Notice of cancellation will only be effective from the day such notice is received by Midgard Experience and the following charges will apply (or appropriate refund if already received higher payment)

more than 60 days before departure lost of deposit
30 to 59 days before departure 40% of total cost
15 to 29 days before departure 60% of total cost
less than 15 days before departure 100% of total cost

Cancellation by Midgard Experience

We will not cancel a trip unless we are obliged to do so by ‘force majeure’ such as government intervention, political or civil unrest, flight cancellations or an act of God and other unforeseeable circumstances; or if the number of fully paid-up bookings needed to operate the trip has not been reached for open fixed-date trips.

If we cancel your trip for one of these reasons you will receive a full refund of any money paid to Midgard Experience minus any expenses which we have incurred on your behalf and which cannot be refunded.

If we cancel your trip we will not be liable for any expenses which you may have incurred as a result of your booking or in expectation of the trip taking place such as costs relating to visas, vaccinations, connecting air flights and any other expenses.

Special understandings

It may be necessary for reasons beyond our control to alter advertised arrangements both before leaving your country and once the trip has begun. The itineraries given for each trip must therefore be seen as an indication of what you will achieve and not as a contractual obligation on our part. No refunds will be given if changes for such reasons occur.

Our leaders, guides and representatives have the responsibility and authority to make decisions affecting the well-being and safety of the whole group and of each individual within the group; and that as a result in rare occurrences they may require an individual to leave the group without any liability on our part for consequential supplementary expenses and without making any refund.

It is understood that if you decide voluntarily to leave the tour Midgard Experience has no responsibility for your safety or well being or for any consequential expenses.
